Current Month's Usage
Members are charged for the previous month's energy usage. Below you see the meter readings from your last cycle and your current cycle. These readings determine your kWh (energy) usage for the dates shown. For a breakdown of your kWh usage, please use the rate calculators provided on the Traditional Billing and PrePay pages respectively.
Total Amount Due
Your total amount due includes the current payment amount, any amount past due, late charges and other fees (if applicable.) For a breakdown of the charges, please see Current Month's Usage. Your payment due date is also listed below. If paid after this date, late fees are incurred.

Here is a detailed breakdown of your account charges. In addition to your $33 base charge and energy usage, any other fees (i.e. outdoor lights), discounts (i.e. senior citizen discount, bank draft), Operation Round Up® donation, credits and taxes are calculated.

Power Cost Adjustment
The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) is used to adjust the rates charged to Members when the price for fuel to generate electricity (primarily natural gas and coal) rises and falls over time. Depending on how much Carroll EMC's wholesale producers pay for generation fuels, PCAs can be additions or subtractions.
If not for the PCA clause in the rate, we would have to make our rates higher to make sure we recover the wholesale power cost.
