Please note that a credit/identity check will be performed on all applicants. A membership fee of $15 and an account service charge of $20 is required and will apply to your first month's bill. A security deposit may also be required. Deposits are based on previous credit history with the co-op or a credit check. If a deposit is required, the new Member may opt for the PrePay program. Any past due amounts to Carroll EMC must be paid in full before new service can be established. If you've never had service with us before, you may be required to apply in person at one of our offices.
Carroll EMC accepts cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard for payment of fees and deposits. Only credit cards are accepted for phone or online orders.
You will need a state- or military-issued identification with photo, social security number and address where service is to be connected. All connect service orders are processed the next business day following completion of the order and fee payment. Click below to complete an online application. After your application has been submitted, a Member Services Representative will contact you by telephone to confirm and complete the order.
After launching the online application, specify on the Type of Request dropdown menu whether you are applying for Traditional Residential, PrePay Residential for Commercial service.
