Electrical Safety Programs and Demonstrations

Electrical safety is a priority for Carroll EMC. As a community service, the cooperative offers complimentary high voltage safety demonstrations tailored for school children. These youth programs teach children how to play it safe around electric power lines, reducing the risk of electrical incidents and preventing tragic accidents.

To schedule a demonstration, contact Sandy Entrekin at 770-830-5721 or sandy.entrekin@carrollemc.com.

Sun Power for Schools

Carroll EMC and Green Power EMC are showcasing the benefits of solar energy through Sun Power for Schools, an educational opportunity for middle and high school classrooms. The photovoltaic and metering equipment enables students to study solar power generation and incorporate the unit's output data in classroom projects. Any class can participate in the Sun Power for Schools program via online monitoring of the unit or teachers can schedule an educational field trip to view the Sun Power for Schools unit, which is located at Carroll EMC.

For program information, contact Taylor Key at 770-830-5736 or taylor.key@carrollemc.com.

Truck Days

Big trucks and small children just naturally go together. Invite a Carroll EMC service truck to your next school event to give students an up-close look at some of the equipment used to keep the power flowing to their homes and school.

To invite a truck, contact Sandy Entrekin at 770-830-5721 or sandy.entrekin@carrollemc.com.

Career Days

It takes a wide variety of people and skills to provide electricity and service to Carroll EMC’s 49,000 Member-owners. Invite a Cooperative employee to your school’s career day to discuss the types of careers at Carroll EMC and the degree of education needed for employment in various jobs.

To schedule a speaker, contact Sandy Entrekin at 770-830-5721 or sandy.entrekin@carrollemc.com
