Economic Development

Carroll EMC was established in 1936 to provide dependable electric service at a reasonable price to rural residents in Carroll and surrounding counties in western Georgia.

Bringing electricity to the countryside created a foundation for economic development that the Cooperative continues to build upon.

Today, we continue to help communities in our service area grow and prosper by providing economic development assistance to businesses and industries through responsible development of our existing industries, recruitment of new industries, and in working with the various agency partners at the local level within our service area. Our efforts help to create jobs and invest in the community which is essential to maintaining and improving the quality of life for all of our Member-owners.
