Be Aware of Unsolicited Seeds in Mail

Please be aware of unsolicited seed packages being delivered through USPS. If you receive any unsolicited seeds, DO NOT plant them or dispose of them. The types of seeds in the packages are unknown at this time and may be invasive plant species. The packages may have Chinese writing on them. Follow the instructions below if you receive any.

1) Anyone who has received unsolicited seeds in the mail from China or any other country is encouraged to contact the GDA Seed Lab at 229-386-3145 or email

2) Send the package and seeds to: Georgia Department of Agriculture at 1109 Experiment Street, Redding Building Room 215, Griffin, Georgia 30223.  You should include your contact information when you send them.
